Management
Morten Siersted is the CEO and founder of F1F9. He has spent his entire working life, now more than 20 years, in project finance, focusing increasingly on the financial modelling aspects of long term infrastructure projects. Morten started in 1987 with an agro-industrial company in Copenhagen, and thereafter in London with the project finance departments of a Japanese lending bank, a German underwriting bank, and finally an Anglo-American advisory boutique. In 1998 he set-up F1F9, initially as a UK based financial modelling training company. During those early F1F9 days, Morten and John Richter (now at Financial Mechanics) developed the FAST Standard. In 2005 Morten took F1F9 to India, transforming it into a model building and maintenance operation, pioneering a Collaborative Modelling concept anchored in the FAST Method. Morten has a Bachelor degree in Development Economics from the University of Sussex, UK, and attended the Corporate Finance Evening Programme at London Business School.
Shiv Dayal is Chairman of the Board and co-founder of F1F9 India. He is also CEO and founder of Langham Capital, an M&A and Corporate Finance advisory firm based in the same office building as F1F9. Prior to that Shiv worked with Dresdner Kleinwort Benson and JP Morgan in New York and London and the Tata Group in India. Shiv has advised a number of leading global companies including Wipro Technologies, Shell, Saudi Aramco, Arbed, NIIT Technologies, and DLF Global on a variety of strategic initiatives, including acquisitions and asset sales. At the Tata Group, Shiv was a member of the Tata Administrative Service where he worked at a number of group companies including Indian Hotels, Tata Steel, Titan Watches and Tata Tea. Shiv has a Bachelor degree in Economics from the University of Sussex, a Masters degree in Development Economics from the University of East Anglia, and an MBA from London Business School.
