F1F9 is a powerful combination of people working in partnership with clients to make the process of financial modelling more personal, more fit-for-purpose and helping everyone to achieve the best results.
History
F1F9 is a specialist provider of financial modelling and spreadsheet support services.
Established in 1999, we provide a hands-on approach that delivers tailored solutions, builds relationships and maximises confidence for clients around the world. In 2005, we set up the world’s first offshore modelling team (in New Delhi), now one the most affordable, high quality, modelling support resources available.
Our business has at its heart the FAST Standard: a uniquely transparent, efficient, maintainable and comprehensive spreadsheet modelling methodology.
Expertise
Our model build team includes experienced spreadsheet engineers who work directly with our clients. They have an equally important coaching role within the team: making sure that everyone, regardless of their role, is working with the same set of disciplines and approaches. The result is collaborative working with a clear understanding of the relationship between the requirements of an assignment and the spreadsheet solution that will best meet them. We work productively and efficiently with methods that are well documented and standardised.
Our lead instructors are senior professionals: highly adept technically and easy to learn from in the classroom. They teach what is practised in our model build team, sharing the knowledge as generously as possible.

John Dimberline
Managing Director
John has 18+ years of experience and has led advisory teams on many complex projects supporting both public sector procurers, private sector bidders and corporates. Formerly head of financial modelling at Grant Thornton, John leads the senior management team at F1F9.

Andrew Berkley
Director
With a background in business education and financial advisory work, Andrew leads training delivery at F1F9. Andrew has delivered financial modelling courses to numerous institutions including European Bank of Reconstruction and Development, Deloitte, KPMG, Grant Thornton and Siemens.

With a background in business education and financial advisory work, Andrew leads training delivery at F1F9. He has been with F1F9 since 2013. Andrew has delivered financial modelling courses to numerous institutions including European Bank of Reconstruction and Development, Deloitte, KPMG, Grant Thornton and Siemens. He is an experienced model builder and reviewer with sector experience in telecommunications and transport. He has also worked with smaller businesses in preparing financial forecasts for early stage equity funding proposals. He is also a Chartered Accountant.
Omar Shaker
Director
Omar is a highly experienced financial modeller having spent 15+ years building FAST compliant and best practice models in the project finance advisory (debt and equity) sector. He has worked on some of the largest transactions globally with an aggregate value exceeding USD 20bn. He is fluent in Arabic both written and spoken.
Swati Nayyar
Assistant Director India
Swati joined F1F9 in April 2010 and is now part of the leadership team in F1F9’s India office. She specialises in project finance modelling including operational and portfolio modelling. She is fluent in Hindi both written and spoken.
Morten Siersted
Founding Director
Morten founded F1F9 in 1999. He has played a key role in developing the FAST Standard, including setting up the FAST Standard Organisation in 2011.
Saransh Dhawan
Assistant Director India
Saransh Dhawan joined F1F9 in April 2010 and is now part of the leadership team in F1F9’s India office. He has worked on a wide variety of projects across many different sectors with a focus on rail transportation and natural resources. He is fluent in Hindi both written and spoken.
Swati Nayyar

Swati joined F1F9 in 2010 and is part of the leadership team in F1F9’s India office. She specialises in project finance modelling including operational and portfolio modelling.
Lucy Alexander
Lucy is a qualified lawyer with over 15 years of legal experience in both United Kingdom and Australia. She joined F1F9 in 2021 and advises on all corporate and commercial deals for the business. Lucy also manages all compliance matters on behalf of the company. She is fluent in both written and spoken Italian and French.

Project Manager
Varsha is a Project Manager with over 5 years of experience in financial modelling. She has been part of more than 50 build projects, specialising in project finance modelling and gaining exposure to a wide range of model types, projects, and industry sectors.
She has strong experience in developing and operating financial models, as well as reviewing and translating client requirements into well-structured financial models.

Animesh is a Project Manager with over 5 years of financial modelling experience. He has built more than 50 models, with this experience gained building different model types (projects, corporate, technical) and in a wide range of sectors. Animesh is highly experienced in finding efficient solutions to the challenges our clients pose and creating models that are valuable decision-making tools.
Kartikeya Pathak
Project Manager
Kartikeya is a Project Manager with 5+ of financial modelling experience. He has built 140+ best practice models, gaining experience of different model types and industry sectors. Kartikeya is expert in reviewing models (as well as building them) and highly proficient in model optimisation processes.
Aditi Jain
Project Manager India
Aditi joined F1F9 in May 2018 and is now a Project Manager with over 5 years of financial modelling experience. She is a FAST certified modeller having specialisation in project finance modelling. Her work portfolio includes more than 80 projects (Bid models, Operating models, Financial close models, Reporting models) of various industry sectors. She is expert in converting client requirements into an user friendly spreadsheets which can act as a decision making tool.
