Why don't F1F9's keyboard shortcut macros open when I double click on the file?
The file is opening but it is designed to open in a hidden state. That’s so that the file doesn’t get in the way while you are working on a model for real.
To unhide the open file, try Alt, W, U and you’ll see the documentation (as well as the coding for the shortcuts in the Visual Basic environment). To hide the open file, its Alt, W, H.

The most likely reason is that something is blocking the macros from running. Unhide the file and confirm that all “Enable macros” requests have been clicked.
Follow our blog: https://www.f1f9.com/blog/keyboard-shortcuts/ to have the macros open automatically when you open Excel. This approach works well with particularly sensitive corporate firewalls.

This is normally to do with other add-ins that you may have running in Excel e.g. Bloomberg or Arixcel.
Either disable the add-ins while you are modelling or change our coding so that you use a different shortcut key. Our coding is open to all so you make whatever amendments you deem appropriate.

If this doesn’t work, then please try logging out of Cademy: https://cademy.io/logout. Then go to: https://f1f9.cademy.io and click on “My Account”, then “Log In” (or “Sign Up” if prompted). Log in using your email address.

What is the difference between courses in the classroom and live online courses?
What we teach remains the same, but there are differences in the delivery methods.
In the classroom, we generally run courses over 2 days and it’s an intensive, immersive experience with short breaks and an hour for lunch.
Live online, we run focused sessions with longer breaks in between and over 3 days. The sessions are recorded and made available to you via our online learning platform.
If I buy a video-based course, will I get immediate access to the course material?

Yes, if you purchase through our website then you’ll have automatic access to the material.
If you are booking on one of our in-person courses, then there may be a short delay before one of our team gets back in touch with full details.

We offer unfettered access to our video-based courses. Visit as many times as you wish; there is no expiration date.
Can you issue me with an invoice for my purchase?

The easiest way to make a purchase is through our website. However, we will consider issuing invoices on a by exception basis. Contact our team: support@f1f9.com.
We are happy to issue invoices as a proof of purchase to support a expenses reimbursement claim.
Is there a refund or cancellation policy?

We want you to be happy with your purchase and so will take very seriously any requests for refunds. We will do our best to understand the reason and accommodate your changes.
Our formal policy is that notice of cancellation must be given in writing by email and, once received by us, will result in the following:
- 4 weeks or more before the course start date: 100% refund of original booking amount;
- Less than 4 weeks before the course start date: 70% refund of original booking amount.

We will do our best to understand the reasons for rescheduling and accommodate your changes. We will work flexibly with you, recognising that sometimes rescheduling is unavoidable.
Our formal policy is that rescheduling of courses must be given in writing by email and, once received by us, will result in the following:
- 4 weeks or more before the original course start date: no rescheduling fee;
- Less than 4 weeks before the original course start date: 15% rescheduling fee (calculated as an additional payment based on the fees due / paid for the original course).

We offer discounts on a by exception basis and normally only for bulk purchases.
Our courses are aimed at professionals who are funded by their employers. If you are still a full-time student, then we recommend our free resources.

How long will it take to build my model?
How long will it take to build my model?
Turnaround times can range from 4 to 12 weeks from start to finish. Most assignments are delivered on a 4 week / 6 week (first draft / full draft) or 6 week / 8 week timescale.
Can you continue to support me after the model has been built?
Can you continue to support me after the model has been built?
Yes, we won’t disappear at the end of the model build assignment. We’ll always be available to deal with any questions you may have.
If you need further support to run the model, or to make structural changes, we can do this on an hours incurred basis. If there are discreet packages of work, we can also agree a fixed number of hours in advance.
Ongoing maintenance contracts are also available with pricing to reflect the amount of regular work required.
Do you provide model review services?
Do you provide model review services?
We do provide model review services, but we don’t provide model audit services. Our reviews are based on fulfilling an agreed scope of work, and are suitable if you need increased confidence in your model but not contractual reliance.
Our reviews cost in the range £4,000 to £8,000 and depends on model size and the required scope of review. Please contact us for further information.

Our models follow the FAST Standard, which stipulates adherence with modelling best practice and a standard approach to structuring models. The FAST Standard is independently governed by a not for profit organisation (The FAST Standard Organisation.)
